One of the best histories of the War of 1812. Written anonymously by McAfee. This work served as the primary source for generations of writers to come and is the definitive early history of the War of 1812 in the Ohio Valley. Most of the material used by McAfee came directly from the American generals William Henry Harrison and Isaac Shelby. In addition this work is one of the earliest books published in Kentucky and the first popular work printed in that state.
