William Alderman was the first known individual bearing the name, recorded in the year 1487 in Belstead, England. The first known Alderman in America is recorded as John Alderman of Massachusetts in 1634. The descendants of John Alderman spread to New England, California, North Carolina, and throughout the United States. This book includes seven parts consisting of the history of the Aldermans in England, in the States, and many other branches and lines.
