This Anderson line traces back to Virginia in the seventeenth century through the individual Robert Anderson of New Kent County, Virginia and his wife Cecilia (Poindexter) Anderson. He took up land in 1683 and later taken up by his son Robert, of Gold Mine, Hanover County. This book contains the monograph of the Anderson, Clark, Marshall and McArhtur connections.
