The Arnold family traces back to Wales 650 A.D. and in 1587, William Arnold, founder of the Arnold family in America, was born in Ilchester, England. Around 1625, William arrived in America although his motivations for leaving England are unknown. This book serves as a record of some of the descendants of William Arnold & his son Benedict Arnold of Rhode Island & his grandson. It also includes the descendants of Maria Arnold, Electus Arnold, and other ancestors.
