The first known Baker ancestor is John Nicholas Baker, Sr., born in Germany 1701, who came to America from Germany in 1754. His first wife was Marie Shawnee who he had three children with and his second wife being Marie Alkania Bayer who he had seven children with, ten children in total. This book tells the Baker line as well as multiple others such as Helsley, Funkohuser, and Brumback. It also includes sermons given by the families ancestors, biographical sketches, and selected poems.
