Samuel Banning sailed from his home of England to America around the year 1700 and settled in Lyme, Connecticut upon his arrival. This is where many of is descendants are to be found of this day while there are few others who have scattered to various other states. This book gives the genealogical and biographical records of the Banning family of five generations and includes other families such as Bradley, Bird, Skidmore, and multiple others.
