This book provides the history and genealogy of the Cloyd, Basye and Tapp families in America who were of Scotch-Irish origin and came during a flood of immigration during the early to mid 1700s. Many settled in Penna and Delaware then pushed on to Virginia. Section 1 Descendants of James Cloyd, a Scotchman, born in Ireland in 1680, settled in Chester Co. PA.
