These are the descendants of the families of David Coltrane (from Scotland) and James Frazier, who both settled in NC. William and Rachel Coltrane were Quakers, with a meeting house in Guilford Cty, NC. It is said that at a Monthly Meeting four of their children married four of the children of James and Martha Frazier. Hence, the alliance of these two families commenced.
