The Journey of Mary Ann Eliza Daly, gives a look at her emigration from England to Australia, in 1868, her life and her descendants. Mary Ann was the wife of Amos Switzer of Limerick, Ireland and was the daughter of Irish parents, George and Anna. Amos Switzer was a descendant of the Palatines in what is now Germany, refugees settled in Ireland. They'd been driven from their land by the Catholic French king Louis IV because of their Protestant faith.
