This book gives the history, genealogy and descendants of Pierre Fauconnier who settled in New York, with some account of the allied Valleaux family. This is the family his daughter married in to. They were Huguenots, and it is no doubt that due to being persecuted they had to flee from their native land. And like many French refugees in America there is trouble tracing their ancestry.
