This is the history and genealogy of William Feeter, a soldier in the War of American Independence, and of his father Lucas Vetter the ancestor of the family in America and Canada. He was an early settler of the Mohawk Valley in New York. The immigrants from Germany, known as the Palatines, were of importance to New York. Driven from their homes they became the pioneers in America.
