This book will show you the Forrester family history and genealogy, with a focus on Simon Forrester of Salem. He was of Irish descent, born May 10, 1748, son of Thomas who was descended from the Baron Forresters of Corstorphine, Scotland. Simon married Rachel Hathorne in 1776.  Her brother was the father of Nathaniel Hawthorne, the author.
