George Fowle was an early settler in Concord, Massachusetts in 1638. At the time of publication the First Burial Ground at Charlestown, Mass., established in 1688, held members of the Fowle family along with the grandfather of Abigail (Smith) Adams, wife of President John Adams. and Sarah (Boylston) Smith, the mother of Captain William Smith.
