FREEMAN FAMILY: Genealogical & Historical record of 160 years, Extending from the 18th to the 20th 1900

  • 1600

By Moses D. A. Steen

This book provides a genealogical and historical record of 160 years, extending from the 18th to the 20th century. Moses Freeman and his wife Nancy (Knight) were both born in England, married in London in 1762, and soon after they came to the British Colony of Maryland in North America. They settled on a farm in the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, in Queen Anne County. In England they had both been brought up in connection with the Church of England, becoming full members; on coming to America they associated themselves with the Church of England in Maryland. Records are provided for four of their children, though they had more.
