This is the revised and enlarged edition of the Geer family, providing the English history, origin of the name and genealogy, along with the ancestors and descendants of the George Geer and his wife Sarah (Allyn) family in America from 1635 to 1914. George Geer was born in 1621 and lived for 105 years to 1726. He lived for sixty-five years with Sarah. They resided in New London for quite some time. It also tells the story of one which never appeared, and that is of the 1856 little book written by seventy-two year-old James Geer of Ledyard, CT. He was a descendant in the fifth gen of George Geer, and lived on the Geer homestead.
