Joseph H. Wengler

This book presents the history and descendants of J. Conrad Geil and Jacob Geil, his son (born 1746 in Alsace, Germany), who migrated from Wurttemberg, Germany to America in 1754. They were on the ship "John and Elizabeth" with a total of 330 passengers, and arrived in Philadelphia in Nov., 1754. Jacob Geil married Miss Clymer and settled in Chester County, Penna. They lived here during the Revolutionary War, afterward moved to Rockingham Co., VA.
