GLOVER: Genealogy of the Glover Clans 1938

This short book gives the historical and genealogical account of Charles Glover of Lincolnshire, England and of Salem, Massachusetts and his descendants. He came to America in 1632. He married Elizabeth with whom they had three children. She died in 1647. His second marriage ended in divorce and she died soon after in 1649. His third wife was Elizabeth Saunders, a widow, whom he married in 1650. They moved to Long Island where he was granted a tract of land for a shipyard. He followed the shipbuilding industry until his death in 1665. Ther Glovers were among those who first settled in America. The Glover name is of Saxon origin and is quite ancient.
