This is a brief account of the history and genealogy of the Gordon family in Forfarshire, with the Lairds of Ashludie, Donavourd, Tarvie, Threave and Charleton. It begins with Alexander Gordon, a shipmaster at Aberdeen. He married Elspet Warren. They had at least one son and one daughter. Their son George was born in 1755.
