This is the history and genealogy of the Gould family and that of Zaccheus Gould (1589-1668) of Topsfield (Ipswich). Included are seven generations, and at the end of the volume is a map showing the land situated within the limits of Topsfield in New England. We see the early history of the family shown through records in the year 1235 where Thomas Gould signs a document, apparently as trustee of the church of Moulsoe in Buckinghamshire. The family lived in the small village of Bovingdon.
