This is the genealogical line of Stephen Griffing and his wife Elizabeth Uhl, of New York. This is through the line of Jasper Griffing who was born in 1648, a native of Wales who settled in Southold, Long Island. His wife was Hannah. The spelling of the family name varies, and the Gruffids of Welsh history are considered the present day Griffings. You can read about the early migration to America.
