This is the genealogy of the Griggs Family of England and various states of America, showing different branches of the family. Civil and military records show family members being involved in six wars, bearing witness to their involvement in every state and territory. The earliest colonial ancestors settled in Massachusetts, Virginia and North Carolina. The New England families descended from George and Thomas who arrived from England in 1635. The North Carolina branch descended from Robert and Alice, who came in 1678. Early records in England date to 1497.
