This book presents the ancestry of Calvin Guild, Margaret Taft, James Humphreys and Rebecca Covell Martin, from the years 1620-1890.  The genealogy of these families is provided with charts to display clarity. We're shown the descendants of John Guild, of Dedham, Massachusetts.  The name in America is first recorded where two brothers and (is supposed), a sister, arrived from Scotland about the year 1636. They were John, Samuel and Ann. Samuel was admitted a freeman in 1642. John Guild (b.1616, d.1682) was a weaver by trade and admitted to the church in Dedham July 17, 1640 and made a freeman in 1643. He was one of the original grantees of the town. This is the line of Calvin Guild.
