Compiled from notes of the late George Haines, M.D. with some additions. This is the ancestry of the Haines, Sharp, Collins, Wills, Gardiner, Prickitt, Eves, Evans, Moore, Troth, Borton and Engle families. We see the will of and the descendants of John Haines. Haines family members settled at Goshen , also West Chester, Pennsylvania and that town is built upon land owned by John Haines, which he devised to six of his children.
