This book gives the Hallowell- Paul family history, and includes the ancestry of related families of Worth, Lukens, Jarrett, Morris, Scull, Stokes, Heath and more. We're shown a map of the early settlements in Delaware County, Penna. These Quaker colonists left England for religious freedom, were connected with William Penn, secured land they were offered and established their meeting houses. We're shown letters of correspondence back to the Quakers in Great Britain. John Hallowell and Sarah Clay were married in 1672. She had a son who died a few days after birth. His second wife was Mary Holland in 1675. They came to America in 1683.
