  • 7500

By Samuel King Hamilton

This publication covers the origin, the history, the ancestral genealogy of the Hamilton family of Waterborough, York County, Maine. We learn about the Massabesick Plantation and the history of the town of Waterborough, showing the location of the family's settlement. The town was named after the Colonel Josiah Waters, a merchant and prominent citizen of that town.  To this new wilderness town came five Hamilton brothers from Berwick, Maine. They were the sons of Benjamin Hamilton.
