This is an account of the Harbaugh (Harbough) family in America, from the years 1736-1856. The author discovered records of their great-grandfather, Yost Harbaugh (spelled as Joost Harbogh) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania records in 1739 as a land owner of one hundred acres in Maxatawny Twp, now Berks County. Through the years the family settled also in Lancaster and York County and nearby areas.
