"Edward Hart, Descendants and Allied Families" includes "Allen Hart, Descendants and Allied Families". The list of numerous allied families is shown in the table of contents pictured. This is more than a pedigree of genealogical history of the Hart family. Follow the journey of Edward Hart of Baintree, England who came to America in 1630. He received a grant of land in 1635 at Dorchester, Mass. In 1637 he and his wife were among those colonists who joined Roger Williams in making the new settlement of Providence, Rhode Island, where a grant of land is recorded to him in 1638. Religious intolerance continued to exist among the colonists in the new world similar to that which caused them to leave their mother land. Read about his imprisonment along with others!
