This genealogical record gives the family history and the descendants of the first ancestor to America, Leonard Headley of Elizabethtown, New Jersey. Prior to 1664 he came from England to Boston, from there went to Connecticut and then to Long Island and then in 1664 along with a large party of settlers Essex County, (later Union Cty) New Jersey. He lived to 1683, leaving an estate. Given are historical and biographical sketches of prominent family members.
