A short book, being a biographical sketch of eight generations of Hoopers in America; from William Hooper, 1635, to Idolene Snow (Hooper) Crosby in 1883. In England and America's early records the name is spelled in various ways, such as Hope, Hoope, Hupper, Hopper. It is probable it was first used in England in 1275, (as Hopore).
