This extensive book contains the history of the Horton family in America, a corrected reprint of the 1876 work by Dr. George Firman Horton of Pennsylvania, whose parents were distinguished in Revolutionary fame. This is also a continuation of the generations of descendants. The first Hortons to come to America were (supposed) brothers, Thomas, Jeremiah, and Barnabas. Thomas Horton was in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1636. We also see the line of Levi Horton, descendant of Jeremy the Sea Captain.
