This publication from 1903 shares the genealogical history of John Howard of Bridgewater, MA, 1643-1903, and his descendants. He came to America and was an early settler of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, with it's establishment along with Miles Standish and purchasing land from the indians. Eighteen of the original purchasers were permanent settlers. The town was incorporated in 1656. We see more on the origin of this town. John Howard was elected surveyor of highways.
