HURLBURT Genealogy 1922

The emigrant ancestor's Christian name was (Thomas) Hurlburt and he came across the Atlantic in 1635, a soldier under Lion Gardiner. He had command of the Fort at Saybrook, Connecticut. He was wounded by an arrow in an encounter with the Pequot Indians in 1637. Mr Hurlburt was by. trade a blacksmith, and after the war with the Pequots established business in Wethersfield, CT . He was one of the early settlers there and the first blacksmith. This genealogy provides the paternal descendants to 1922, with an index of all names in the book.
