HYDE: Several ancestral lines of Moses Hyde and his wife Sarah Dana 1904
By Harriette Hyde Wells
Norwich, in the southeastern part of Connecticut was settled in 1660 by a fearless, determined group of Puritans. There were thirty-five original proprietors of the town. William Hyde, his son Samuel and son in law, John Post are part of it, as well as Francis Griswold. Others were also among the ancestors of Moses Hyde or Sara Dana. Moses and Sara were married in 1757 in Ashford, CT. This publication presents the Hyde and Dana family genealogy for three hundred years and ten generations. This ancestry shows both the maternal and paternal lines. Records of births, marriages, deaths, residences, and brief biographical sketches are included.
