This publication covers one branch of the Irwin family in New York, settled by William Irwin, in the Hudson River Valley. William Irwin was born inAntrim County, Ulster, Ireland. He was descended from Scottish Border Clan of Irwin or Irvine. He came to America with his brother, Robert, about 1714 at the age of fourteen. William Irwin lived from 1700-1787. Eight generations of descendants in America, of this Scotch-Irish family are recorded.
