JOHNSON: Genealogy, records of the descendants of David Johnson of Leominster, with 1896 supplement

  • 2000

By William W. Johnson

This 1876 publication presents the history and genealogy of the David Johnson family, of Leominster, Massachusetts, with a supplement. We see that the Johnson family were among the early settlers of New England, as colonial records show they were quite numerous. One name recorded was "the first person in New England guilty of the impossible crime of witchcraft, and executed at Hartford, was a Johnson of Windsor"; and another was the distinguished Rev Samuel Johnson, first president of King's College, New York.   Recorded are the births, marriages, wills, estates, inventories, and brief biographical sketches of family members.
