The pioneer, Robert Hawkins and his wife, Mary, sailed from England to America in the ship 'Elizabeth and Ann' in 1635. See the ship passenger list included. 

Rachel Hawkins, born in 1767, married Jonathan Mills and both are buried at Mills Pond, Long Island. Edward Hawkins, born in 1765, wed Olivia Shxler and passed away in 1799 while residing in Setauket. Zachariah Hawkins inherited land from his father Edward Hawkins in Crane Neck, Long Island.

Isaac Hawkins, born in 1759, tied the knot with Elizabeth Hulse and signed the Association in 1775. He was laid to rest in Nissequogue. William S., born on October 8, 1806, married Mary Williams. Abigail, born on December 21, 1807, married Platt Smith. Julia A., born on November 14, 1809, wed Elias Smith.
