This history of Turner County, Georgia, and surrounding counties, covers a period of one hundred and fourteen years - from about 1818 to 1933. However for twenty-eight of those years was it alone Turner County, when in 1905 the county was created by an Act of Legislature. It had been mainly a hunting and camping ground between two larger Indian towns. White men had not lived there  prior to 1815.
