This is the history and the descendants of William Dewey of Pennsylvania, (1821-1899), thirteen generations to 1998. The English ancestors was Simeon Dewey born about 1550 in Sandwich, Kent, England. Thomas Dewey, the settler to America, was born in 1600 in Sandwich, Kent, England and came to America in 1630. He moved from Dorchester, Mass to Windsor, Connecticut.
