Thomas Barns was an early resident of Hingham, Connecticut and ancestor of all the families who bear the surname in the area. There is little to no information on his early life but there is record that he received a land grant in 1637. This book includes information on settlements, the voyage to New England, business activities, inheritable tendencies, and contains copies of maps and various illustrations.
