Nicholas Beery, the first immigrant of the name, "emerged from total obscurity" in 1727 when he landed in Pennsylvania. There is little known of his early life but it is assumed that he belonged to the "plain people" of the Pennsylvania German pioneers based upon his life in the New World. This book gives an extensive genealogical account, numbering nine generations, of the descendants of Nicholas Beery.
