John T. Hassam

Ezekiel Cheever was born in London January 25th, 1614 and came to Boston in New England in June of 1637. He went to New Haven, married, and taught school, he was the famous master of the Boston Latin School. He wrote numerous essays and books. This book gives a record of his life and some of his descendants, esp those through his eldest son, Rev. Samuel Cheever. This is the first of two parts.

The second part (26 p. 1884), gives more research on descendants from Ezekiel's second son, Rev. Thomas Cheever.
