This is the history of the Coffin family and the life of Tristram Coffyn of Nantucket, MAss who was the emigrant ancestor in America. He was born in Devonshire County, England in 1605. He was married to Dionis Stevens and they came to America in 1642 with their five small children, his widowed mother and two sisters . He always signed his name with the y as printed above.
