This book gives the ancestral record of the Dillon, Hodgson, Fisher and Leonard families who were pioneers of North Carolina, then Ohio, and later to Indiana and Illinois which was unsettled land. The four families were neighbors and related by marriage. It is the pioneers the book gives attention, especially those who were early settlers to Indiana and what is now Elm Grove and Dillon Townships in Tazewell County, Illinois.
