These are the descendants of Alexander Drummond of Georgetown, Maine and includes related names a Campbell, Chamberlain, Crane, and Morse. Drummond is an ancient name with a rich history. Alexander Drummond was of Scottish descent, and emigrated to Ireland. In 1729 he came to America with his four children. He was a widower. He settled on the Kennebec River, not far from Day's Ferry and was killed by a falling tree the following winter, in 1730.
