This book gives information covering the genealogy of the Dyer family. The name is an old English one, formerly spelled Dyer or Dyre. This book focuses on the descendants of James Dyer and Jane Finn of Jackson County, Tennessee in the late 1700s. Several Dyars, Dyers came from England to America in the very early days of colonization. We see Thomas (1612-1676) arriving in about 1635 and settled in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
