Some Fox trails in old Virginia gives the genealogy of John Fox of King William County, with his ancestors, descendants, and near kin. Some of the most prominent and aristocratic families in Virginia received royal grants and settled on the banks of the Pamunkey and Mattaponi Rivers, and King William County is distinguished for the many notable men whom it contributed to the making of the early history of  the Colony and Commonwealth.
