History of the Gazzam family, together with a biographical sketch of the American branch of the DeBeelen family. The earliest knowledge of the Gazzam family relates to William who lived in Cambridge, England during the mid eighteenth century. He was married to Martha. The name itself is very old and mentioned in the Bible in Ezra and Nehemiah, and possibly of Egyptian origin.
