This genealogy takes us back to the early history of this ancient family, and then commences with the Grant and Cumming families that came to America from Scotland in 1777.  This is Donald Grant and Elizabeth Cumming. They located in Catskill, New York. The two families are connected very closely by marriage. So many by the name Grant married married many by the name Cumming. And in many cases Grant married Grant.
