HASBROUCK Family in America, with European background 1961
By Kenneth E. Hasbrouck
Family in America, with European background. Two brothers, Jean and Abraham married sisters, Anna and Maria Deyo. Jean was the oldest, devout, steadfast and quiet. Abraham was more socially inclined. He was an army man with many acquaintances. They both had a high regard for learning and unity. Abraham with his family fled to Manheim in the lower Palatinate to escape persecution of the French Protestants. He probably resided in Holland for a while, and was in England where he served in the English army. In 1675 he landed at Boston and joined his brother.
