The early history and genealogy of the Hassard family, their descendants in England and Ireland, and related families. Various spellings of the name include Hassart, Hazard, Hassard, and more. This book quotes some of the account of the English Hassards written in 1858 by Rev Henry Short, (later Hassard) which begins with John Hassard Short of Edlington Grove, Lincoln County. He was born in November, 1810 and married Margarette Elmhirst. It then gives the early history of the connected families, the roles they played in the military, parliament, feuds, religion and companies through time.
